What made you pick that date?
Well aside from the obvious "69" joke lol (it got pointed out to us [a lot] before we even noticed) we loved that it was so close to our dating anniversary (6/4).
Was it your first choice?
No our original date was 11/24/07 and we went in December '05 to book it and it was taken so be bumped it up alot. Before heading to the church we were talking how it seemed so far away and we agreed that if it was booked we were going to push it up by 5-6 months, and that's what happened :-)

It was one of the few Saturday evening dates that was available
It didn't matter to us the date. Just that it was the summer of 04
We just celebrated 4 fabulous years!

What made you pick that date? We needed a date that before school started. Lots of teachers in our family!
Was it your first choice? Yeah.

What made you pick that date? We joke that since DH's memory for dates is so horrible, that we needed to follow the memory trick that I taught him for my birthday (4/4) and plan a wedding date with a double number.
Was it your first choice? Ideally, I would have liked to have been married on a Saturday, but all the Saturdays during that summer were already booked. It turned out to work for us perfectly, people came in for the holiday weekend, and we got to spend the week afterward with everyone b/c our honeymoon didn't start until the Friday following the wedding.

When was your wedding date? March 15th, 2008.
What made you pick that date? Oh that date was very special to us because it is his Grandparents 58th wedding anniversary. I was talking to my MOH and MIL and I was like you know they are such an amazing couple it would be such an honor for DH and I to share their wedding day too bad it isn't on a Saturday. But then when we checked the calendar it was a Saturday!
Was it your first choice? We had changed the date twice before already.
Anything else you wanna add? They are such an amazing couple and an example of how we carry our relationship everyday. They do anything to make each other happy, they still got that spunk for each other even in their old age, they still kiss each time they part and they just enjoy being together and with the wonderful family they created. They are a joy to anybody that meets them and that's why I'm so glad we'll forever share that day with them.

What made you pick that date? The church and the venue were both available and some of my OOT cousins who are still in school had their winter vacation that week. We just wanted our wedding to be in the cooler months of the year.

Was it your first choice? It wasn't my first choice. I originally wanted a fall wedding. We got engaged in October 2007 and I was looking forward to having a year to plan the wedding, and I always envisioned a fall wedding. But DH said that once he decided to propose, he was ready to get married ASAP. He wanted to be my husband and didn't want to wait. I thought that was sweet, so we decided on a spring wedding. It turned out completely different than I envisioned, but it was great anyways!

The beach officiant was available. It was a Thursday- I called the week before. I am so not a bridezilla.
We didn't have a particular day we wanted to get married- but, we would have preferred that freaking hurricane Tammy would have kept her ass away. Our beach wedding was a little wet, cloudy, windy. LOL! We ended up getting married in a hotel on the beach that let us borrow a meeting room- but, again, NOT bridezilla material here. I just wanted to be married to him- I didn't care how it happened anymore, and we were close to just saying screw it, and heading to townhall.

What made you pick that date? We wanted an outside wedding and Jerry requested a winter date. We also wanted a weekday and it could not be on a Tuesday since my Mom has to do payroll lol. We were off Tues/Wed so it just worked. It was my late Great Grandmothers Birthday and it was almost 1 year from the proposal - a requirement Jerry had.

Anything else you wanna add? I wish my Grandmothers and My MIL could have been there. And I wish my MOH didnt nearly ruin our wedding.

I needed a date after school ended (I got married after I finished my 1st year of teaching) and I thought "June 23rd" sounded nice! lol...
Was it your first choice?
Yep! I picked the date before checking to see if the location was available. I wanted a morning/afternoonish wedding and that time was available - lucky me!

MILs can be super crazy, so can FILs. We got married at a place called "Lakeside Manor" - it is about 10 minutes away from the house I grew up in. When I was little, I always dreamt of getting married there (it's this big lake with a walking path around it - we went there a lot for walks) and was so happy that my date was available. When I woke up the morning of my wedding, the weather was absolutely perfect. It had been very hot the days before my wedding, but that day had just a little breeze and perfect weather! My wedding day was the best day of my life (so far!), I felt beautiful and so in love with my DH!
I also loved our officiant - I found her online and she made us totally personalized vows that told how we met and everything. We met on match.com of all places!!

Was it your first choice? No. Our first choice was April 16, 2005. But we found out we were prego in Jan. so we changed the date to April 22 2006. Then we found out we were prego AGAIN, so we had to change it again. So I went through the calander and choose a date. I really wanted a spring wedding, but was scared to choose another April date..HAHA.
Anything else you wanna add? I sometimes wish that I could do the wedding all over again...it was so much fun!!

I always wanted us to get married on the 28th of the month so he wouldn't have to re-memorize our anniversary date. Well, to my annoyance, there were only 2 Saturdays in 2006 that fell on the 28th, January (which was too quick to plan the wedding) and October (which was too close to Halloween). Ugh! Back to the drawing board.
Eventually, one of us realized that since he proposed on a Friday, exactly one year later would be a Saturday. I didn't really want a June or summer wedding but I loved the numbers and it was important to me that the date have some significance. And it's still easy for B to remember because our anni is his birth month and my birth date.

What made you pick that date? Just a random date. My Aunt got married in May of that year, my sister got married in October of that year so we just picked a date in the middle.

Anything else you wanna add? I lived up north but got married here in Orlando. I was orginally going to have an outdoor wedding but 2 weeks before the date my husband knocked some sense into me so I was able to find a local church here that has an opening. I had to move the time up an hour but it all worked out. It was so hot that day and it actually rained at the exact time we were supposed to get married, so I guess it all worked out.

What made you pick that date? That was the only time during the year that JD could get two weeks off together. See below.
Was it your first choice? No. I would have preferred a May or early June wedding. JD has to pick his vacation at the beginning of the year, and there were only a few two weeks together. Since he hadn't proposed yet, he didn't want to make it in May because he didn't think I would have enough time, so the two weeks after our wedding date were the next choice. We wanted to get married outside and it was so freakin' hot, but we did our best to make it short and get everyone inside.

What made you pick that date? We started dating in December, he proposed in December so it just made sense to get married in December. Plus DH's bday is at the end of november and he wanted to be 25 when he got married so December 2007 was right after his 25th bday.
Was it your first choice? No. I originally wanted December 1st.

3. Was it your first choice? No, I wanted to do summer wedding (we got married up north) and August was my first choice (hence my screen name). We have lots of birthdays in August and my grandparents anniversary which I would have loved but it was a weekday. We settled on Aug 6 because it wasn't anyone's birthday but our place was booked. We ended up with July 30 which was our dating anniversary - I hadn't even realized that was a Saturday but it worked out perfectly!
4. Anything elseyou wanna add? Sadly, my gram passed away about 6 weeks before our wedding and I will always regret not getting married sooner so she could have been there.

What made you pick that date? We actually booked 3/8/08, but our reception hall informed us that the city manager had decided to schedule the city's Mardi Gras celebrations to the weekend of our wedding and that we HAD to move our date (even though we'd put down the deposit months earlier and the date was open at that time). The closet available date that our already booked photographer had available that we could switch to was 2/16....so we chose that date.
Was it your first choice? No. Originally, we wanted to get married in March just because it's one of the cooler weather months, but February worked out perfectly. We had beautiful weather on our wedding day.
Anything else you wanna add? I'm excited to have our 1st year anniversary in February next year because neither of us have been skiing before and we're hoping to spend our anniversary on a Colorado ski trip next year. February is a neat month for vacationing because there are cold weather and warm weather options.
