Monday Blues

I think I'm starting to get sick but I drag myself into work b/c I'm the only one in the office today.  I get here and when I turn on my computer all it does is beep.  I have to wait 45 minutes for an IT to get here so I try a co-workers computer but it won't let me on to our email system. The IT guy shows up and gets the beeping to stop (apparently I needed a new keyboard).  I turn on my computer and all of my settings are messed up.  The type is so small it's ridiculous.  So now I'm trying to figure out how to get things back to normal. And adjusting the regular settings isn't doing it.  Oh and I can't connect to IM. Argh.

I hope your Monday is starting off better than mine! :-)

  • That sucks (I put this in bold so maybe you can read it!!)  How was your holiday?  I am trying to motivate and do some work and clean up around here while E is napping but have yet to do anything!

lol! Thanks for the bold :-)  My holiday was good.  Because the weather was nice we drove to Rhode Island and had an early Christmas dinner with K's aunt, cousin and his partner. It was nice but a lot of driving for one day.

Then we spent all of yesterday moving our entire second floor (furniture, clothes, everything) down to the first.  We're having new carpet put in tomorrow which I'm very excited about the labor part was a drag.  K can never say I ever used pregnancy as an excuse not to do anything.  I must have walked up and down those stairs with boxes in hand at least a hundred times yesterday.  And the fun part of moving everything back up is yet to come :-p

How was your first Christmas with Ella?

  • It was really fun to have a baby at christmas (although she could have cared less).  We stayed at my parents house thursday-saturday.  It was nice since my parents got lots of grandchild time.  Christmas day was hectic as usual Christmas am at my parents then drove to nh to S's sisters for christmas there.  Then back to  my parents for dinner and presents with my family.  It was really nice and Ella did really well with all the moving around and people.  We were going to go home friday night but were too tired to so we hung around on Sat and then came home.  I got a kindle and a necklace with an E on it from Sue and Ella as well as some really nice things from my inlaws.  Money from my parents as usual.  It was nice.  Ella got a few toys and some books and my sister knit E a great sweater which she looks very cute in.  I can't wait for next year where E actually knows what is going on it will be so much more fun.  Oh and tell K she needs to carry stuff back up stairs.  I don't want you doing too much!

  • Sounds like you had a great Christmas! I can only imagine how much different the holidays are with a baby.

No worries, I don't carry anything too heavy.  I was in charge of clothes, bedding, luggage, and a few piles of books.  We hire teenage boys to carry the big stuff :-p
