Did anyone get anything fun for Christmas? Anyone get anything totally strange?
Re: tell me about your loot
Fun: I got my garmin watch I wanted
Fail: please see my post re purse below somewhere... :P Good news is now I have purse shopping on the brain cause I get to exchange. Wheee! I'm kinda excited.
Lol at fail!
We got some great GC's to restaurants and have used 1 place already!
M surprised me with "real" Uggs! I couldn't believe it. Sometimes he's a little anti-brand buying but I guess he knew I'd never get some for myself. Plus he prob felt sorry for me because the traction has worn out on mine and I slipped and fell at the gym last week.
Yay for real Uggs, but why were you wearing your Fuggs to the gym?
It was cold and I was going to change in the locker room.
=/
I got some necessity things, nothing too fun. I got quite a few gift cards and cash though. I can't wait to go shopping!
Fun: Ski lift passes, new ski pants, a new ipod, diamond earrings and lots of Home Depot and Lowe's GCs
Fail: I was the big failure. H totally spoiled me despite the fact that we weren't supposed to exchange gifts. I got him a few shirts, and some other little stuff. Wah Wah
Aline - how do you like your Garmin?
Turns out Santa reads my blog! I got a brand new (pink!) digital camera and a beautifully wrapped Harry Potter 6 dvd.
My bff gave me the Twilight journals...which are 4 blank books with the covers of the books and there's quotes on every page.
The princess made me a ceramic thingy that I have no idea what to do with so it's sitting on my coffee table. I of course love it the most.
Oh and my mom continued her WTF gift giving streak by giving me a CVS gift card. She gave me a Sam's Club card for my bday...I don't belong to Sam's Club.
Tried it out yesterday it's soooo cool. The touch bezel is a little sensitive but once the bezel is locked you're good to go. I have yet to figure out some of the cool features but - the virtual running buddy is pretty cool- and I love that it tracks your calorie burn and pace and all that stuff all at once. Not sure yet how to set up intervals (running and walking breaks and such) but I'll figure it out. :P
I did do the wireless up loading of my run and it's super seamless and cool! All I had to do is walk into the room and it automatically uploaded my run. It's definately a great tool and a good motivator to get out there and try to improve. I have such a hate love relationship with running that it's a great motivator ya know?
I only exchanged gifts with my parents and my BIL/SIL, so not much loot to speak of.
SIL got me a VS GC, dad got me $$ for new tires for my car (such a dad gift, huh?), and mom got me this AWESOME beauty gift basket with GCs for my hair salon, my nail salon, a massage, Sephora, AND a GC to Goat Hill. My mom knows me so well.
I know, I am so thankful for this gift! I needed new tires before the accident, but having to pay the $500 deductible to get my car fixed pretty much exhausted my car fund. Dad to the rescue!
I lucked out this year and got really great gifts from everyone.
H got me a coach purse, a couple of cookbooks I have been eyeing, and some kitchen stuff. My Sister gave me an Origins gift basket with a gift card for a facial. MIL gave me a Burts Bees gift basket and GC to Macys. And my Mother gave me money, GC to flemings, Perfume, Macy's GC and Regal GC.
9/19/12: Miscarriage at 12wks due to Triploidy, D&C 9/24/12 - I will forever miss you my little angel
That's an awesome gift! I just had to shell out money for two new tires...almost killed my happy Christmas buzz.
Aline - I have the regular 405. I like it, but have never hooked it up to my computer. So lazy...
YL - Tires are a great gift. I hate spending money on cars.
The new boy got me a couple Betsey Johnson necklaces, some (kinda) cute jewelry from when he was in some mountain town called Julian, this supperr cute, expensive feather/jeweled headband that I lurve and would NEVER expect him to pick out, and some Juicy Couture pajamas, and a handful of silly hello kitty/pink/vw beetle things in my stocking. Pretty freakin' good for a guy who never celebrates Christmas. Wee!!!!
Oh-- and my family does secret santa and my bro got me a Norstrom gift card. Not too shabby.
Dude- hook it up it's such a perk.
The most awesome gift wasn't really for me so much as it was for us. But that's what I had on my "Christmas list".
H got me a nice 10 piece pot and pan set and a dutch oven. I guess if you spent a over X amount you got the dutch oven and a $50 gift card for free. The new pans area waaaay better than the 2 pots and 1 dinky pan that we got as a wedding gift and tried to use last week and wound up melting the handels.
And the strangest gift....MIL gave H and I a giant box of Rice Krispie Treats. H doesn't really like those, but I love 'em.
From MH: Burke Williams massage, Sephora GC, clothes, stability ball, medicine ball, cookbook. Sounds kind of plain but it was exactly what I wanted. He's the best.
From my sister: Really cute digital collage of pictures of us together. So sweet.
Do you know how to shoot? H wants to take me shooting so I can learn and I'm kinda scared.
Yes. Shooting is a fun hobby. Makes you feel powerful. Is anyone breaks in my home, they have another thing coming. lol. We are going to get our conceal and carry permit too. It's scary at first. Just make sure to always point the gun down range (and never point it at people, which is hard to remember when you are nervous) and if you can remember that, the rest is easy.
