Is Sept. too hot?
DH, DD (10 month old) and I have a few vacation days at the beginning of Sept. and I can get airline tickets for pretty cheap. Is the weather unbearably hot/humid then. I know there would be an increased risk of hurricanes, but how about rain chances? Any info would be great. We are thinking about visiting the Tampa/ Clearwater area.

If you're coming from Omaha you will definitely find it incredibly hot and humid in Florida in September. Its usually still hot and humid till atleast late October.
The good thing is that if you're by the beach you'll have more of a breeze that may make it more bearable. And of course brind summer clothes like sundresses, shorts, etc. to deal better with the heat. Its def not jeans weather.
But you'll definitely have to watch out for storms/hurricanes because that's one of the most active months.
The weather is iffy at that time of year.
