My parents are still having a really rough time right now. They didn't have any money for Xmas gifts or for gifts for my sister's birthday last week.
They came home from work last Wednesday and found a note on their back door that said, "Merry Christmas, from Mama Bear & Papa Bear. Go to the front porch."
On the front porch were two garbage bags full of Xmas gifts.
My sister got some (much-needed) new jeans and a couple shirts.
My mom got a new crock pot (she uses hers a lot and it broke a couple weeks ago).
My dad got some new work shirts, some new tshirts, and gloves.
I'm pretty sure I know who it was (my parents' best friends), but they're denying it. I just want to go give them a big hug. Little Sis said it made their Christmas, and my mom cooked up a big soup dinner using her crock pot that night. I, of course, bawled when my sister told me. I think my parents really needed to see that there are people out there who care about them. It truly was the best SS ever.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
Aww, how sweet! Not only the presents, but the preservation of a little bit of pride
