when did it become okay to keep secrets? aren't you told at an early age that if someone is doing something to your body, you're supposed to tell someone?

 

what happened to "say NO, then GO, and TELL someone you trust!"

I don't think it's so much keeping secrets as it's wanting to keep from being seen as a tattle. When you're a kid, it ain't cool to tattle, yo.

Never mind childhood, sometimes even adulthood.  Esp. with sexual harrassment claims, those don't come without a lot of unintended consequences, not a lot of them very good.

You're also taught that the adult is right, and you are wrong. that's a hard line for some people to decipher

Especially since it sounds like she enjoys working there as well. No one ever wants to be the whistle blower and maybe ruin it.

And I agree completely with your approach Zilla, I hope things get better for her immediately.

i think i am going to have to pick her up from work from now on, even though it's only 2 days a week. i'm still fuming over it, and i have a feeling that somehow i am going to come out as a bad guy.
