Catch Up (long)
Awesome gifts - H totally went above and beyond all expectations. I got Wii Fit Plus, EA Active (I heavily hinted at both), and an insanely hardcore home brewery kit. I'd been wanting one, but I was procrastinating on researching them and such, so he did it all for me. It was completely unexpected and also perfect for me. I no longer get to complain that he's a crummy gifter.
Not Awesome gifts - I haven't received any, yet. I'm not doing Christmas with my family until the end of January when I get home, so there will be lots of potential then. Both H's parents and my grandparents told us they sent us stuff early last week, and none of it has arrived. I know mail is slow this time of year, so I'm not that worried. But it's pretty easy to snatch Christmas cards out of mailboxes and steal the checks, so if I don't get anything by today I'm telling them both to stop payment.
SS - Did Zilla ever get her gift? If so I missed it. Bummer that O-face apparently got shafted, but maybe her gift is hanging out with the stuff from my ILs and grandparents.
Zilla - I was in a nearly identical situation as your SIL when I was 16, except the azzhole co-workers were closer to my age. I ignored it because of an overall "boys will be boys" attitude where I worked. Plus everyone, including managers and owners saw it happen, so it's not like there was anyone to tell. Also, a lot of girls that age crave negative attention. A lot of the girls I worked with back then didn't understand why it bothered me. I eventually got fired for cussing out the manager over it. Oh well, I never put up with *** like that again. I think overall it's good in the long term for your SIL to know she's got people behind her, but for now, your involvement is going to be pretty mortifying.
Puppy and GTG - Herbert is a seriously awesome puppy. We had no issues on the drive. She takes to the car and her crate like a champ. We had one accident in the hotel coming home, but she hasn't had a single accident at home yet. She's a bit of a whiner when we're not in the room, but otherwise she's delightful. I caught H calling her my nickname yesterday. He's completely in love and I've been usurped. It's okay though, because I'm in love too. Jojo and family were a lot of fun, and we had a great time meeting everyone. I once again lamented to H that the coolest people I've met on this coast live hours and hours away from us. We missed meeting Varuna and L due to timing, so that was sad.

well TD, my opinion is that the mortification of a 16 year old is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. apparently, MIL spread the word today to all of the BILs and the men are planning to escort the kid to work this week.
that said, i LOVE the puppy, and am glad for your new christmas friend.
Agreed, I'm just warning you that she'll hate you for it until she realizes how nice it is to go to work and not be groped by old dudes.
