Hey chica, I remember you saying you were going to switch to cloth diapers (I have the Pea Pods site that you mentioned bookmarked).
I'm doing some research right now and am starting to get a bit frustrated with the online shopping in Oz...I can go to seventy million manufacturer's sites to try to compare products/prices, but I can't seem to find just one site (like this one) that stocks a variety of brands and types of cloth diapers to make comparing and shopping easy.
Do you know if such a thing exists, or am I dreaming? (I have been able to find this site, but I don't know if there's somewhere better/cheaper to look.)
ETA: also, if you know of a good place to buy secondhand cloth diapers, can you link me up? I'm not finding much on eBay that's significantly cheaper than buying them new.
ETA to the ETA: Aha. No wonder I can't find them on eBay. They've banned the sale of secondhand diapers. Weenies.

If you find something in the US you like you can have it shipped to me and I'll mail it to you. Seriously. I know Jaime had great luck on Diaper Swappers with all sorts of second-hand deals.
There are some retail sites here that have trial diaper packages and the person has 30 days to send them back. When they do, they sell them second-hand.
Also, I know you're doing daycare and I think you might look into the new Flip by Cotton Babies (Renee posted about them)...we're getting a starter pack to try and if we like them we hope to talk our DCP into using them rather than conventional sposies.

Hey sweets!
Yeah, online shopping in Oz can be elusive and frustrating! I don't have any sites I know of at this instant but let me check my 'baby bible' (The Australian Baby Guide book) and see what I can find for ya.
Ok, found something that might help you, hopefully:

Here are a couple of sites for second hand nappies:
http://www.nappycino.com.au/
http://www.buyforbaby.com.au/
Also, the general advice I've been reading is to be very wary of buying cloth nappies off Ebay, unless it's a big brand nappy you recognize.
If I find anything else, I'll post it for you!
Couple more:

They also sell a product called 'Little Squirt' which answers my question re. washing poo off nappies before you toss them in the wash.

Might talk the husband into investing in it. Unless someone, who is currently using cloth, has a better/cheaper way?
And this cloth nappy site: http://www.babyblossom.com.au/SalesFactoryPlus/OnlineStore/Browse.aspx?CategoryID=1015&Home=trueAwesome Tina, thanks for the links! I'd seen a couple of those, but not all.
I'd heard of the Little Squirt, and I think it would work really well for us because we have an extra toilet located in our laundry (so it would literally be a spray-it-down-chuck-it-in-the-washer situation).
In case you're interested, here are the ones I've found (some will be repeats of yours, sorry - I've replied to your second last message so I can't see the links that you posted before to avoid duplicates):
usednappies.com.au
babysoftlandings
clothbubba.com.au
oztion.com.au (this comes with the same warning you mentioned about ebay, of course)
nature's cradle (doesn't have any at the moment)
buy for baby
None of these really have a huge selection - it's more a matter of visiting them all and seeing if any of the brands you like are on sale at the moment (for example, I saw some of the Peapods you like on one of them...can't recall which at the moment, sorry).
And a couple of regular sites (not secondhand) that seem to run good sales:
darlings downunder
cotton bottom

And Lori, thank you SO much for the offer! I was actually trying to figure out yesterday if it would be cheaper for me to buy them in the USA and maybe have them shipped to my mom (since she's coming out here in early May and could bring them with her).
I could really only do this with one brand though, which would be the BumGenius AIOs that we're going to try out (although if I decide to ask her to bring them over, I might toss in one or two Kissaluvs as well)...we've decided to go for fitteds and AIOs, and are trying out several different brands that have been highly recommend on Aussie forums I've read. The other two brands we're going to try are both Australian - Baby BeeHinds and itti bittis (speaking of which, check out this design from itti bitti - it gets rave reviews, and I'm very interested in trying it because it's comparatively economical next to most AIOs and pockets here).
