Book Club?

I havent heard about this in awhile...I was going to purchase the book (was waiting for it at the library but it's taking forever!) but wanted to make sure it's still on and when? I would still love to do this but hopefully we could meet towards the end of January since I haven't even gotten the book yet

I actually just finished the book yesterday.

Our original tentative date was set for Thursday, January 14th. However there was talk of pushing it to the end of January or early February. I am fine with that since I am now going to be out of town on the 14th.

I'm currently reading the book on my week off, but also haven't heard anything since our last gtg.  Who was taking the lead on setting the date and place?

Sorry! That would be me! The holidays and work are getting the better of me. I've started it, but I'm leaning towards beginning of February since I've been so slack in making it official, and since it is a slightly longer book.Also- what was the name of the place that we talked about having the first meeting at? I cannot remember for the life of me.

General consensus from before was Thursday nights at 7pm. I can set it for the first Thursday in February- February 4th at 7pm.

Just let me know that location name/address again, and I can make a "final book club details" thread.

We were talking about Jack's Bar & Grill by Diversey & Southport. They have the best chicken pot pie! I'm good with the first Thursday in Feb. I'm about 1/2 way through the book. Had to put it down for a few days, had some freaky dreams that I had leprosy!

Please do the first Thursday in February!  This will allow me to get and read the book.  I could not find it at a nearby Barnes & Noble so now I am ordering it on Amazon.

I agree later in February! Then I will have time to read it And yep we talked about Jacks - pretty quiet in there so should be good to chat and for wine drinks

Just ordered the book! Ready to read - once I get it
