I'm waiting for the damn day to be over because DH and I are going to a concert tonight.  I can't wait!

I'm here. Yesterday I accidentally applied for a job with the FBI. I meant to apply for a job with customs and border patrol. that's the only interesting thing I have.

 

Oh! I went to this new bbq place near the house. It was disgusting. I mean, nastay. The food was wrong, overpriced, and FI pulled something out of his and we simultaneously said, "Is that octopus?" 

 

Yea, it went in the garbage. It was more fat than meat anyway. How are you going to open a new restaurant and have the quality of food be that bad??

Blech. I'm okay I guess. Trying to look at the positives in this whole mess, but it's hard. I slept about 4 hours last night which means I will be dragging today. But I've got things to do today, and more job hunting. I hope I can find something soon. I do not like how things look with me not working, it's doable but it's still scary.

Yep.  Here still working.  Okay, so I went home at night, but it sure doesn't feel like it. 

We have a lunch with a vendor today out of town, so that will take up a good 2.5 hours of my day.  Sweet!

Pmeg, weren't you approached a couple of months ago but a recruiter or someone with a job opportunity in your area?  Is it possible to reconnect with them now that you are available? 

Maybe this was addressed before and I missed it as I don't lurk every day.

PMeg, I can't imagine the position you're in.  ::hugs::: I know you'll get through it just fine, but it is scary.  Also, I know you enjoy working.  I can't imagine not having a job to get up and go to or do everyday.  I'd have a feeling of loss as well.  How did DH take it?

I didn't sleep much. Between being mad at H and the super crazy howling wind, there wasn't much sleep to be had. Boss isn't here today so it's a YouTube and fvkc effort kind of day

I'm getting sick. Had a really sore throat yesterday, and I'm all congested today. I'm thankful I wasn't sick last week/weekend, but this still blows.

And Boss Lady's gone today, too, so we'll see how much work actually gets done.

I've got nuttin' but hugs and vibes for Meg.  Things will get better.

DH's in person interview went pretty well yesterday.  They had 1,000s of resumes narrowed to 10 phone and 8 in-person.  They didn't balk at salary so we'll see.
