12/29 - your favorite Christmas gift

So what did you get that you are most excited about?

I am excited about just about everything honestly.  I'm most looking forward to using the Wii Fit Plus.

The Bissel Spot Bot will be most useful when a cat hacks up a hairball in the middle of the night.

Linens for the dining room table will be great for entertaining.

My Pizza stone has already been put to good use.

Re: 12/29 - your favorite Christmas gift

  • We did a small exchange but my parents went overboard as usual and his parents are waiting till they visit to do gifts. So my favorites are

Wonderful Wizard of Oz comic collection

    Yoga Mat

    Soda Maker

    50 States Quarter Map

    Snoopy Tree

    Coffee Cart Knicknack

  • Oh hey Hudy, do you and your husband have a website for your coffee? I got a french press and coffee grinder for Christmas so I'm in the market for some beans.

  • I got so many great things.  I got a new 12 inch stainless steel saute pan from my mom.  My husband got me these "lazy spoons" made by Rachel Ray.  They have notches built into them so you can just rest them on the side of a pan.  I also go the Ultimate Edition Blue Ray of both the first and second Harry Potter movies.  I really got too much stuff from everyone
  • You guys made out like bandits!

My favorite gift was my gift card to BestBuy.  I am a TV show on DVD addict.  Love my box sets.  I used to drop hundreds of dollars at Best Buy and not blink an eye.  Um yeah, now I have a baby and those :"hundreds of dollars" are now for diapers and formula.    I used to buy DVDs for myself once a month.  Now it's "Happy Birthday to me, let me get a DVD"  or "Merry Christmas to me let me get a DVD".    Now I have to see which of my series , I want to get the next Season for.

  • BTW

The Bissel Spot Bot is amazing for pet stains, just try to catch them early.  You probably won't have this problem, but if you feed  your pet food with any type of artificial dyes, it won't get that up.  Kind of learned that the hard way, but switched our cat to a better food.

No dyes except maybe in the Greenies cat treats?  Dog eats Costco food (which is a 3 star, so not bad, and no dyes) and the cats eat Wellness.

  • My inlaws gave me (us) a Keurig coffee maker and a refillable K-cup!!  We have used it sooo many times over the past few days!  I love it!  I also got one of those brownie pans that bakes the brownies in squares so you don't have to cut them... I can't wait to use that!!  DH's grandmaw got me a Clemson Snuggie and I haven't used that yet, either!!

I can't wait to wear my "Relay for Life" t-shirt that my aunt gave me... on the back is the palmetto tree and moon and it says "Nothing could be finer than a cure in Carolina"!!

Yeah, our site is www.theoldworldcafe.com . It's still underconstruction right now. We officially go live in the middle/end of January (as soon as we get our new roaster in).

If you know regions of coffee you like or want to try, you are more than able to just contact me. Orders don't have to go through the site. If you want to see what we have done so far, we have a blog and are on facebook.

Also, once the site is up, it will list all of the regions we have available and descriptions of what that region of coffee is like.

  • DH got me a David Yurman blue topaz ring that I never want to take off :)

I also got some clothes, an Anthropologie gift card, a few new cookbooks, and a new Vera Bradley tote that I'm excited about.
