Europe

So I mentioned in my TTT post that C and I are hoping to go to Europe in June/July. We're planning to use airlines miles and fly into London. We'll most likely stay with family for a few days in England and then we'd like to do something else. On our last trip, we went to Dublin for the weekend and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. We've talked about Paris, somewhere in Italy, or maybe visiting my uncle and his family in Stuttgart Germany (if they can't come to England while we're there). I love trying to find great deals on commuter flights on easyjet and the like.

Anyone have any other suggestions or advice on cheap trips in Europe for a few nights, leaving from any of the London airports?

 TIA!

Re: Europe

  • Sadly, the last time I was in Europe was in high school so I have no ideas. Your trip sounds very exciting. Happy planning!

  • I would say wait til you get there and book something in the airport when you land. I know from Shannon they had flights all over for less than $50. We actually had thought about hopping a plane to Budapest since it was a deal advertised in the airpoort.

  • Sounds awesome! We had good luck renting a reasonably-priced apartment in Paris, and having a kitchen and so much public transit made it enjoyable and relatively inexpensive.  Of course, I love Paris, so I am a bit biased. :)
  • Well Paris is...well Paris.  If you haven't been you should go at least once.  I love Germany.  I liked some parts of Italy better than others.  If you feel like sitting sea side and relaxing than Cinque Terra, Italy is a must.
