Trash the Dress

Hey Everyone,
I know its been awhile since I have posted but I had surgery and been out for awhile. I have a question, what is everyone opinion  about trashing the dress. I cant decided if I want to do it yet or not. So, I am asking everyone what they think about it..
Thanks ahead of time...

Re: Trash the Dress

  • I had originally planned to do it, but my DHs schedule is backwards (he works all night and sleeps late) so coordinating it was crazy.  Plus, I would have to spend $150 on hair and makeup in addition to the pics. Not to mention prints as well.  It all adds up!

My DH isn't too keen on them, mostly because he feels we have so many awesome pics already.  He also doesn't love the idea of pretending it's the wedding day or getting dressed up in wedding clothes again, he feels that the day passed and that's that!

I think they are cool, but so far I don't regret not having them.  If you can afford it though and your DH is into it, go for it :)

  • I say if you have the budget for it and want it...go for it. I never really had an interest in these because I got married early in the day and had very nice wedding pics.....but have seen some gorgeous trash the dress or rock the dress pics out there.

  • i did it!! and glad I did :)

I mostly did it because my "official" wedding photog didnt do too much of a good job on the wedding day taking photos of just DH and I, so that was mainly the reason why DH and I scheduled a post session/TTD  And we hired Studio By Carmen for it.

DH refused to get dressed just like the wedding so he wore a black cubavera with slacks and a fedora...  I did my own hair because i knew it was going to get wet and wild during the session and as for make up i did something simple so my MUA didnt charge me too much.

I say if you really want to do it and can afford it, go ahead!!! You can never have too many pictures of you and your fabulous dress! :)

one of my TTD pics is in my siggy!

  • Thanks! Its included in my wedding photographer package. So, I think I might do it and then see how the pictures come out. Order them if I like them dont order them if I dont! I can do my hair and make-up myself and I want my DH just to wear jeans and I nice shirt..... I think.... So, I dont have to shell out that much money. Thanks again girls!
  • I got married 5 years ago but if I ever fit into my gown again I would like to do it. I don't have any creative wedding pics since my parents booked my photog (I was VERY young... not even cool enough to be on the knot back then!) and we went with someone very traditional.
