that the 00s sucked, and i will be so glad when they are over.

when i think of all the horrible schizz that has happened over the last ten years both personally and publicly, i just want to burn something. 

truly, this will be the mutha of all tgifs.

just a few:

-- job losses of many friends, some of whom are now in dire straits (and of course, those are the ones with the most children)

-- eight years of having my republican friends (including dh) all up in my face about hos awesome bush and cheney are

-- fearing for dh's life when he worked on capitol hill on 9/11, and then for our friends as they got deployed into the war

-- seeing my hard-earned money and investments go into a freefall

Yes.  I think those reasons are enough to wave hasta la eff off to the 00s.

I will say as a decade, I can't complain too much, but they didn't hold what I thought they would. I started the decade at 26, and had this vision of what the decade would hold in store.

Not so much. There were many highs and lows, but I've grown a lot, and I'm more realistic about the next decade.

Decade had its ups and downs. I'm beyond ready for 2009 to be over, though.

Those are pretty big ones. I have to stop and think about what happened to me in the last decade. I don't think much truly eventful stuff happened, except getting married, buying houses, oh yeah... and H's new job was a small, very minor development.

I am so ready for 2010 to be here as well.  Really, besides meeting & marrying DH & couple of other little things, this decade sucked azz.
