I"m meeting friends for Indian food...

I'm guessing this means I'm going to pay $8 to sit at a buffet and eat saltines :-P

  • I'm to thrilled to feel sorry for me.

Hell, morning sickness (er, all day sickness?) lets me know that my body at least still thinks this poppyseed is gonna stick :-)

  • i saw this in a magzine and wanted to tell you about it.  it looks like a vibrating headband with poking devices and a blackout mask, which is super awesome for headaches.

  • I ate Thai food when I was like 12 weeks. It was the one day my morning sickness wasn't bad, and I was craving it.

Big big mistake. Between the heartburn, the pewps, and the puke..I will not eat Thai until I give birth.

I've never had Thai food, and ^this^ does not make me want to seek it out.

  • Yum!  Eating ginger & garlic will help pukey feelings too.

  • Also, please don't go all Entity on my asss for never having eaten Thai or Indian food.
  • Stinky, I mothereffing love Thai food. I love Indian food too. But when pregnancy hormones are wreaking havoc on your innards, it's not the right time to indulge that craving. I probably should have ordered something mild but nooooo, I got myself curry.
  • This is one thing I'm looking forward to when we move - the vast availability of new foods and places to eat. There might be a good Thai restaurant or two in DM, but when my steak-and-potatoes-loving husband is with, they wouldn't even be on the radar.

Stinky, LA and NY are the two "foodie" towns. You're very lucky. There are some great sushi places (there is one in Marina Del Rey that is fantastic!), there is an Ethiopian community so there are great options there, Thai, Indian, Kosher.. your mouth will love you forever.

  • well, I stuck mostly w/ vegetarian and it was DELICIOUS.

I haven't wanted food sinc but the bread stuff (I am a hick who can't remember the name) was delicious!
