Global Vacations Scam From: AjM23 Date: 7/29/2008 at 7:29 PMI just want to let everyone know of a scam that is going on, and probably has been going on for a while. I just got a phone call from 'Global Vacations' stating that I was a winner from a contest I entered in February (don't remember entering). Basically they said that I had won either a Lincoln Navigator, 25,000 in cash, a flat screen tv, or a Bahamas trip. All I had to do was drive to Grand Rapids MI, absolutely had to bring my husband and no children were allowed. Oh, and I had to be there tomorrow. I asked if this was a scam, and that I was not going to be able to go. The lady put me on hold, came back and said to call them when I had time, then quickly got off of the phone with me. First of all, if they were giving away prizes, why would they wait around for me to be ready to hand them out and why do I need to bring my husband along. Also they kept reminding me that I had better not have lied about how much money I made when I submitted the form (again dont remember ever entering this contest-I dont even do that!). I did some research on the internet and found out that this is a common scam where they try to get you to buy into time shares, and the 'prizes' are impossible to actually get. I almost want to call them back and tell them what tools I think they are!

Good god, what kind of things will people do to scam you these days. I can't believe how some will go and what kind of detail.
