For xmas I got a very large slab with fossils in it. Not really my thing, but FI freaked out about how ZOMGZ OSSUM it is. I'm fine with that, we've got tons of geodes and the like around. What would you do with an 18" long x 9" high x 1/2" thick slab?

Is it good enought to display on a shelf, like on a photo easel/plate stand type thing or maybe as a stepping stone in a garden patch?

Garden Stone or put it on a set of legs and make it a decorative table.

I'd Mod Podge this to it and mount it over my bed.

Are they real fossils? If so I wouldn't put it outside. If not, I probably wouldn't put it anywhere but outside.

I like the table idea, or hang it on a wall.

It's real fossils, and it's shaped oddly. Tonight I'll take a photo. I guess a stand is probably the way to go, and then stick it in the display case behind some of the little stones...

i like the idea of putting it in a display case (curio) or mounting it on the wall.

Some display stand or mount it on the wall.  You could put up a shelf with a lip and put it on that.  Or go to Hobby Lobby and see what they have to mount it.

I like the idea ofmaking it a table...

if you had a good place for it outside, I'd also not be TO hesitant to put it out--they're millions of years old they can handle *some* weather :-P

Although I need pics and I need to know which kinds of fossils.
