Sobering Story in the Union Leader Please Read!

My Mom called me today and shakily told me of a story she just read in the paper...a 28 yr old Mom from Manchester died from an infection she got in her c section incision!  OMG I sit here typing this in tears!  I am still not over the experience and there are days when I just want to be healed, but I am so thankful that I AM HERE to love my baby and get to see him grow.  It's taking so long to close and I've had some rough periods lately where I just don't feel well, but to read this makes me want to push thru and to get better, b/c I GET THAT CHANCE! Thank God, he wanted me to get thru this and I WILL!!!

It's just a really sad story...please read and for those that can help I know that family would be greatful for any donations.

And THIS is what keeps me going!!!!!!!!

  • (((big hugs)))

Crystal, I know *exactly* how you feel!!! ?We are both having very difficult, extended recoveries, though yours sounds much worse than mine. ? I thank God for my healthy, beautiful boy every day. ?You & I are so lucky that we pulled through. ?

Every once in awhile, like when I read a story like that, the memories come back and upset me. ?I try not to think about it, but when it comes up, it's hard to talk about. ?So, if you ever need someone to talk about your difficult delivery, PLEASE email me. ?If you just need to let it out, I am here...?

  • And I will be making a donation. ?It's not much, but it's something...
  • That is terribly sad :( C-sections are major surgery...there are terrible risks involved (including the healing process) and I think a lot of people don't really think about that. Thank goodness you are doing better in your recovery - it's been such a long road for you and you have always seen so optimistic to me - I love the picture :)
  • OMG, so sad!  I'm so glad your story had a much different ending Chrissy!
  • Yikes, thats terrible!!!  Its stories like this that helps to keep things in perspective of whats really important in life!  = )
