Ft Lauderdale area beaches?

We are looking to stay in the Ft Lauderdale area, on the beach, in March/April......

wondering which beach is best?

Hollywood beach?

North Beach?

Central Beach?

Anything else better in the area I have not mentioned??

Thanks ladies!

Re: Ft Lauderdale area beaches?

  • I don't know where North or Central beach is (I just park and go in my area!). I'm not too much of a fan of Hollywood beach, it's okay but nothing great (lots of seaweed and at night homeless people and prostitutes in lots of areas).  The Diplomat on Hollywood beach is an awesome hotel and the beach attached to the hotel is nice, but the area surrounding isn't too great.

I would just stay in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area (Near Las Olas) or South Beach is also awesome.

What hotels are you considering?  Trip Advisor is also a good place to look!

I would say either Fort Lauderdale/Las Olas or Hollywood Beach...lots to do in those areas.

    Thanks ladies!
