Any CD "must trys?"

I think I found THE CD that I'm going to finally fill up my stash with.  I currently have:

1 BG Organic OS/AIO w/snaps, 1 BG Organic OS/AIO w/ velcro, 3 BG OS Pockets, 1 Perfect Size Fuzzy Bunz, 1 Gro-Baby, 1 Motherease fitted, 3 GoodMama TriFold w/ Thirsties OS cover.

I did the Jillian's Drawers introductory program when DD was a NB and sent everything back except the XS AIO Thirsties and the BG Organic OS/AIO w/ velcro. I thought they were both pretty good at the time but have grown to like the BG even more.  I'm thinking not liking all the others had more to do with DD's size at the time.

I really prefer AIO's from what I've tried, but any of you out there think I NEED/SHOULD/MIGHT WANT to try anything that I haven't yet before I buy a bunch of Organic BG's w/ Snaps?

  • holy cow, the acronyms!!  I have no idea what you just said.

I thought you were looking for music recs! lol

  • Sorry that is probably really annoying.  Are you not a CDer or did I just get the abbreviations wrong?

  • I, sadly, know every single thing you just said!  Don't worry.  :)

OK, I would recommend trying a OS fitted to try out.  BuBuBeBe (B4), Bagshot Row Bamboo (BSRB), Little Boppers, or Piddle Poodles are very popular brands.  GoodMamas (GMs) are good, too, but I hear their customer service is HORRIBLE and I will never buy new from them.  You may find you like the fitteds.  Yes, they need a cover if you go out but if you're just hanging out at home and will change every 3-4 hours you do not need a cover.  And if you go out you can get a cute cover like Olive Jane's or Gen-Y.  I just really like cute stuff, can you tell?  But they are functional, too!!!

Also if you're on a budget you can get some GREAT deals on Spot's Corner.  I just got a never-worn Little Boppers for $12!

  • We are just starting out with CDs.  We have 3 Thirsties Duo Diapers (They are All in 2, I think and come only have two sizes) and one Kushies.  We are trying them out tomorrow.  I'll let you know how they work.

OMG!  How do you not know what AIO, BG, B4, AI2, OS, PP, GM, LB, PF, CD, GY mean?  Do you live under a rock?

Ah... the world of cloth diapers.  I forget how confusing everything is when you first learn about them!

I have no idea what you're talking about either.  I think these are acronyms the Eco Friendly Family board on The Bump came up with.  I would try this question there to get more responses, they have tons of posts about CDing.

  • We've tried several brands of many of the diff types of CDs. For AIOs we really love the Drybees hybrids. They have great velcro tabs, give you a pocket in case the AIO isn't enough soaker, and wash up nicely. We are really puching it with DD now, but she is currently still in smalls. We didn;t care for BG AIOs b/c they take way too long to dry, have small velcro tabs, and have to really move DD to do up the laundry tabs before tossing it into the pail.
