Snoring

Do any of you or your SO's snore?

I breathe heavy, but rarely snore. FI on the other hand snores super loud. He also breathes super fast in his sleep. Isn't your breathing supposed to slow down in your sleep? When I'm resting just before sleep or just after I wake up and he's asleep he'll get in a good 2 1/2 in-out breaths in the amount it takes me to inhale and exhale once.

Typing this out I sound like a freak, sitting next to him with a stop watch and a clipboard.

Frankly I think he has sleep apnea or something, but it was like pulling teeth to get him to get new glasses, so it'll be a while before I whittle away at him enough to get him to go get a sleep study done.

Re: Snoring

  • It sounds like sleep apnea to me.  That is dangerous.

H snores, but only when he lays on his back with one arm above him.  I just grab his arm and move him.  I'm manipulative like that.

  • H snores. It's not super bad but it's annoying when I'm trying to fall asleep. Usually I squirm around until he moves and stops.
  • I just tell him to roll over. After a few rolls and no change in snoring I go sleep on the couch. Then he comes out at 3 am and is sad I wasn't in bed with him.
