Since it hasn't been asked...

Are you making any resolutions this year?

What are they?

Re: Since it hasn't been asked...

  • Hmmm.  Well, losing weight is on my list every year, so might as well say that.

Saying that I will try to eat out less is also a recurring resolution, add that on.  lol.

It would be nice to get prego this year, not sure if that's a resolution or not though.  Haha.  We'll see.

I'd also like to aggressively save this year since the market is so low.

  • Not really a new year's resolution since I've already lost 15 lbs, but to lose more weight and generally get in shape.

I also need to be more positive. This year is going to be about new starts for me.

  • I have a few...

    1. Pass the bar

    2. Be more of a homebody...eat home more, stay more organized at home, do projects, etc

    3. Be healthier with my diet and exercise.

    4. Commit to putting more in savings each month

  • I always make some goals, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and think them out yet. I'll get back to you on this one.

I usually don't even bother with resolutions, but I think I'll give it a go this year. Regardless of the new year, these are things I need to be doing!

  • 1. Lose at least 25 pounds.

    2. Make fewer frivolous purchases.

    3. Pass the adult silver-level skating test. Geeked

Good luck! What do they require by the way of jumps/spins at that level?

It's a two-parter. First I have to do all of this which is entirely footwork, no jumps/spins:

    1 Eight-Step Mohawk Sequence Quickness Flow/Strength
2 Forward and Backward Free Skating Cross Strokes Flow/Strength
3 FO-BI 3-turns in the Field Edge Qual
4 FI-BO 3-turns in the Field Edge Qual
5 Forward Right- and Left-Foot Spirals Extension
6 Forward and Backward Power Change of Edge Pulls Flow/Strength

    Duration: 14 min

Then I have to skate a program to music that has all of this:

    • At least 3 different single jumps; one must be loop, one must be flip
    • Jump combination with single jumps
Jump sequence with half or single revolution jumps
    • Camel spin (3 revs)
1 spin from Layback, Attitude, or Sit (4 revs)
Combo spin with only 1 change of position; change of foot is optional (3 revs/position)
    • Connecting moves consisting of spirals, strong edges, etc (full ice)
     Duration: 2m10s

  • Wow, that's really cool! Do you choreograph your own routines?
