Hey Ladies... Im helping a friend plan a baby shower and I would love some of your go to ideas..... The colors are blue and brown. She is having a little boy.... I know yal have some unique an ineresting ideas....and GO!

Lets see... Here is what I have so far..

Food:

Meatballs

ckn salad sw

boudin

veggie tray

fruit tray

cheese dip/ salsa and chips

cookis/brownies

Sherbert Punch- Ice water-Coffee

Possile games..

Guessing amount of either.. candy, clothes pins, qtips

Clothes pin game.... you can say a specific word of the person who hears you can take

The candy bar game ( need more ideas)

ex: Sometimes the mother has 2......twix

The amount of the hospital bills.... 100 grand

the first time you see your loved one.... tear jerkers

No idea on invites

When is the shower?  I try to plan menus based upon what's seasonal, since the flavors will be at their peak. 

As far as invitations go, here are a few ideas.  Again, a lot of this will be determined by when you're trying to have it.

menu items, diaper cake instructions, and even a game <gasp> are all listed.

different theme and colors but hopefully it will get your creative juices flowing.

Personally, I love games but maybe that's just me.  I did a shower today and kept the games to just 2 and 1 activity of decorating onsies.  We did a baby word scramble and guess the amount of candy in a jar. 
The candy is one I like to do b/c the candy is another decoration and a prize.  But i like the timer while opening gifts.

I would keep a game that can run the entire length of the shower. The clothespin one would work. Everyone starts with X number, every time someone says "baby" the first person to catch them gets to take a clothespin. The person with the most at the end of the shower gets a prize. Short games are boring. Just my 2 cents.

I kinna like games too..... but I hadnt helped with a shower in years and I didnt know if was something that was outta style. We are from Lousiana and tend to draw everything out... We kinna dont keep track of time....lol I havent heard about the onesie game thats kinna cute, but seems as tho it can get costly.
