We are supposed to be productive today
We have this whole week off and have spent it in bed. Literally, we'll get out of bed around 5:00, only to start cocktail hour. Copious amounts of TV has been watched and the only thing getting done is making meals. Today, we are supposed to clean. The thought of dusting is exhausting.
Jake has the cabin fever something fierce. H and me, not so much. I think I'd make a pretty good shut-in.
Re: We are supposed to be productive today
We were supposed to go to CA and have a series of epic GTGs, but a blizzard closed the airport. The first flight they could get us out on was on the 29th, the day after we were due to return. So, we cancelled all of our reservations and were given full refunds (not credit, cash money refunds).
We had our first xmas with just the two of us (Jake had been boarded and we couldn't get him). It was also our first white xmas. It was a mixed blessing: I was sad not to have my GTGs, but was happy not to see my family. My mom FLIPPED when I told her we were staying at a hotel, not her house and she laid into me.
I couldn't even gather the courage to tell her we were snowed in - I had H call her. Then she sent a text asking "why I was turning my back on her." She has a flair for the dramatic. I've put her on ignore.
