The hubby and I never had any plans for this New Year's Eve and I was thinking "nice, we'll just spend the night together watching movies". But this morning he tells me of not one but two parties that he would like to attend. Both of these parties are at least a 30 minute drive away and only one of them is kind of easy to get to by public transportation. So I tell hubby I don't want to go because I'm going to have to watch my alcohol intake which will make me not enjoy myself as much . . . .blah blah blah. He says "oh well we can spend the night at either of the parties and just come home in the morning", ummmmmmm NO!
The morning on New Year's day is not usually the morning, its usually 10, 11, or noon. AND the Gator Bowl which you CAN'T miss starts at 11 AND we have people coming over at 1. Does he not understand that we can't just get home at 10, hungover, and just start getting into "get together" mode. Ugh!
Re: New Years Plans *VENT*
This is so true!
Story of my life. "Don't worry, babe. Everything always works out." Yeah, because I make sure it does, dumbo.
How many times have I heard this one!
Are we all married to the same man? lol Not only does D do this but his friends do too. We will "plan" a bbq and next thing I know they are wondering why the heck I am so stressed out. DUHHHHH cause I am planning and doing this thing all by myself azzholes. I hear "pshhh just throw some stuff on the pit, it will be fine"
Efff you! lol
this is EXACTLY something my hubby does too! and then when we can't do steaks or burgers he is at a loss. Like tomorrow I don't expect him to be grilling because he will be watching the games so I just got a bunch of finger foods. I don't think he realizes I have been thinking about the menu for the past few days and just did a HUGE grocery shopping this morning to prepare.
LOL, thats what happens to me too.
Next thing they know they have apps, munchies, steaks, sides, etc.....and wonder how they all got it.
Oh and then they say "grillin is so easy"
GAH! WE are all married to the same man! Seriously WTH!
DH is always telling me I stress to much over GTG's. They magically occur in his eyes.
I agree with everyone.
And, just for ilovedesi, GO MOUNTAINEERS!
Hope y'all send Bobby Bowden off right!
Yeah, I wouldn't want to go to a party and stay overnight either if we had people coming over the next day. I'm definitely a planner and don't like last minute plans.
Plus, I like to sleep in my own bed.
YAY!
