What is one food you just can't stand? What about it repels you?
Re: Food Poll!!!
The only food off top of my head I know I cannot stand is fish. I only eat shellfish...even in my sushi. The smell of tunafish or salmon make me want to puke.
You watch, when I am pregnant one day I will crave fish. LOL!
Oh wait, cottage cheese. That too makes me cringe. The look and taste of it.
Olives! I just can't stand the way they taste- I really, really hate it when one slips into a sandwich or something, and I bite into it.
Wow, I love coconut and l adore sushi! Hee hee. This is pretty fun! The two big things I dislike are things everyone else seems to love, so no worries!
First, I absolutely, positively abhor tomatoes!! Ech! Tomato suace is okay or ketchup, of course. But raw tomatoes disgust me. They are just so mushy and their seeds get everywhere! Gag!
Second, is mint. Yep, I hate mint. I don't care if it's in mojitos, chocolate, gum or ice cream. I even use child's toothpaste because all adult toothpaste has a mint base and I think it's disgusting. All the gum I chew is bubblegum. And I hate that at restaurants when they give you those free chocolates at the end of dinner they are always mint. Geez!
I'm with you on the tomatoes, but I LOVE mint!!
Definitely liver! UGH! My mother used to make me eat it. I would gag with every bite. It was sheer torture.
I also don't like dried coconut, as Jacki mentioned. I hate the texture.
brussel sprouts, lima beans, cooked fruit, tator tots
for me most of it is a texture issue...however brussel sprouts smell like farts to me so that is why I don't like them.
I totally forgot to say why I didn't like mint. . .
I know this is weird, but I don't like that cold sensation it gives my mouth. I know most people think of that as the "fresh" feeling they get from mint but as a kid it always felt more like a burning sensation and made everything I ate or drank afterwards taste yucky or made my mouth cold again. Also, I've always thought all mint (spearmint, peppermint, wintergreen) tastes bitter. Even mint candies (gum, hard candies, etc) don't taste sweet to me, they taste bitter and awful. I also hate cinnamon gum/candies because they also give me that awful cold/burning sensation. Does anyone else feel this way or am I a total weirdo??
Yep! Shoulda seen that coming!
THIS BOARD SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
