Shampoo/Conditioner poll!

1 - What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use?

2 - How often do you shampoo/condition your hair?

3 - Where do you buy it, and how much does it cost?

4 - What made you choose it?

Re: Shampoo/Conditioner poll!

  • 1- I use Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey

2- I have an OCD thing about washing my hair, I HAVE to do it daily, or I feel gross.

3-  Last time I bought it, I got it at Regis, but it's sold at Target and Publix too. It was $10 for the shampoo, $14 for the conditioner.

4- I chose it because my hairstylist recommended it, and because it smells awesome!

  • 1 - What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use? Right now I'm using Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Spearamint Shampoo and Aussie 3-minute Miracle Conditioner.  I'm transitioning to natural body products, though, so as soon as they're gone I have to find something new.

2 - How often do you shampoo/condition your hair? Every day.  I have extremely oily skin, so living in Florida it's pretty much a must.

3 - Where do you buy it, and how much does it cost? Um I got the BBW shampoo on the semi-annual sale, so it was like 3 dollars.  Hence the reason I bought it.  I think the Aussue conditioner was about the same price, but it wasn't on sale.  Bought at Wallt World.

4 - What made you choose it?  I've always liked the 3-minute miracle, and I loved the smell of the Spearamint Shampoo.  But like I said, after they're gone I won't be using them anymore.

  • imagemrs.tbc:

1 - What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use?  Redken Cool Moisture or Redken Allsoft

2 - How often do you shampoo/condition your hair?  Every day or every other day, depending on exercise routine

3 - Where do you buy it, and how much does it cost?  I get it from Ulta in liters when on sale, $15.99 each.  With long hair, liters are a must.

4 - What made you choose it?  My hairdresser turned me on to it, and its only products my hair seem to love, and that dont give me hives.

  • 1. What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use?

Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco is my favorite in the whole world. BUT I have to use Herbal Essences Moisture Control

    2. How often do you shampoo/condition your hair?

    Every other day.

    3. Where do you buy it and how much does it cost?

I buy the B&B at Alta Moda downtown for $20 bucks each (booo! thus the reason right now I am using Herbal Essences!) I buy the Herbal Essence at Walmart for $3.50 each.

    4. What made you choose it?

The B&B my hairstylist did. It mades my hair feel amazing! And it lasted about 6 months. The Herbal Essences was her as well - it's the best shampoo you can get on the market in that category.

  • 1 - What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use?  I was using Matrix Sleek Look, but it's getting to pricey so I just started using Pantene Pro V Extra Straight.

2 - How often do you shampoo/condition your hair?  Everyother day usually.

3 - Where do you buy it, and how much does it cost? Matrix I could get at Publix...it was about $15 for both.  Pantene I buy from Publix it's about $4 for both.

4 - What made you choose it?  I have used Matrix for a while...it's just getting harder and harder to spend that much money on it.  I saw the Pantene and figured I would try it.

  • 1 - What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use?  I'm trying to find a new shampoo, see below.  Right now I'm using Aussie Volume shampoo. After it's finished I think I'm going to try the Suave Daily Clarifying.  No conditioner, my hair is naturally pretty oily so it doesn't lack moisture.

2 - How often do you shampoo/condition your hair?  Either every day or every other day, depending on the exercise routine and the humidity.

3 - Where do you buy it, and how much does it cost?  Publix usually because it's not worth driving somewhere else to same $1.  I think it costs about $3.

4 - What made you choose it?   For years I used Herbal Essences shampoo and I've always had huge issues with shedding.  I told my stylist and when I told her I used HE, she said that was why.  She said hair is an acid and HE was a base.  It will breakdown your hair and cause shedding and breakage.  I asked what I should switch to that I could get in the grocery store (ie no expensive salon brands).  She suggested Infusium (which is relatively expensive at $6-7) or the Suave copy-cat brands or Dove.  Since I stopped using HE the shedding is down dramatically.  I used to pull out handfuls of hair just in the shower and that doesn't happen anymore.  Unfortunately, I still haven't found a shampoo I love as much as I did HE (except for the whole shedding thing).

  • 1 - What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use?  Matrix Biolage

2 - How often do you shampoo/condition your hair?  I condition every day, but I only shampoo every other day because my hair is thin and dries out really easily.

3 - Where do you buy it, and how much does it cost?  I usually buy it wherever it's on sale :).  But I just recently got 2 1-liter bottles on ebay for $32 with shipping (which is a good deal considering it would have cost me about $50 from the store).

4 - What made you choose it?   One of my sisters is a cosmetologist, and she recommended it years ago.  I've been using it ever since because it's the only kind that works for my hair type.  It makes a huge difference.

Didn't smell bad, didn't smell too strong, didn't weigh my hair down and make it greasy and was affordable.

  • 1 - What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use? It varies. Right now I have Pantene for both it's almost out so I bought Tresemme for both for when my current bottles run out.

2 - How often do you shampoo/condition your hair? Once a day

3 - Where do you buy it, and how much does it cost? Sam's Club and it was under $7 total for both - 44 oz bottle of shampoo and 44 oz conditioner!

4 - What made you choose it? I couldn't believe the price! I tried it while at a friend's house and liked it. I later saw it at Sam's Club in a special 2-pack and had to try it myself.

  • 1 - What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use? Suave Naturals

2 - How often do you shampoo/condition your hair? Every day - I can't stand to go more than 24 hours without washing my hair.

3 - Where do you buy it, and how much does it cost? You can get it anywhere - it costs about $1 to $1.50 a bottle with coupons.

4 - What made you choose it? It's cheap.  I'm not too fussy about my looks.  I just want to be clean and smell nice and not have my thick curly hair look all frizzy.

  • 1. I currently use Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Extreme Conditioner. (But I have used All Soft by Redken as well s&c by TIGI, Bumble and Bumble, Nexus, Matrix -- you name it, I have probably tried it!)

    2. I shampoo and conditioner daily. Every now and again in winter I go a day without washing it, but that is a rare. (That or I am home on the weekend and too lazy to wash it)

    3. I normally buy it at a salon (Magnolia's right now) or at Ulta when they have a sale. I honestly don't even pay attention to what it costs anymore -- but I do try to buy it when it is buy on get on free or the bigger bottles.

    4. I have been a Redken fan for a LONG time. I used to change my shampoo and conditioner every two months or so -- but I don't even do that anymore. I love all of Redkens products -- they are well worth it!
