Hello!
I am new to the message boards, but have been reading The Nest since I got married (and before). I live in Ontario and we were married on October 18, 2008.
Happy New Year!

welcome!?
This is my first time visiting the message boards as well. My husband & I were married on September 19, 2009 and live in Toronto. We bought our first house in July & live with our two dogs. Life has been amazing in 2009.....I finished my Masters degree, got married & bought a house so I'm trying to figure out what is next for 2010. I'm really enjoying reading the message boards.
This year we are really trying to budget (to get out of school & wedding debt). Does anyone have any suggestions for things my hubby & I can do that don't cost too much money on date nights?
Is anyone from Toronto/Mimico area?
Ashleigh
Welcome to the board ladies! Post Often!
Ashleigh - there are a few of us in the west Toronto area. In terms of cheap things to do.... when the weather is nicer Marie Curie Park is nice to hang out in, there's also the cheap movie theater up in North Etobicoke at Woodbine Mall.
Also if you haven't discovered it yet, there is the most delicious (and relatively affordable) breakfast place called The Grill at the Queensway and 427, yum yum yum!
Thanks triple777 we often go there for brunch as well as the Queensway restaurant (not sure if that is what it is called...it is the one with the big yellow roof). Thanks for the suggestions. Honestly I've never budgeted before or really worried about saving money but I figure now that we are married we have to grow up & be responsible
It is going to be an adjustment...we LOVE to eat out!
This seems like a really great group & I'm really glad to have found these message boards!
Thanks for the tips!
Ashleigh
