New Years Day Superstitions?
So- anyone else superstitious about New Years? Or know of any rather?
My mom won't allow us to do laundry on New Years Day, because the superstition is for every load of laundry you do, you're washing away a member of your family.
I know there are more of them out there, I just don't know/remember what they are

Really? How have I never heard that about your mom? That's crazy!
I don't know of any New Years superstitions.
Does this mean I am washing away my family, I am doing laundry now.
