My hubby is turning 30 and....
...I'm hoping to throw him a surprise birthday party. Nothing formal but something fun (i.e. dinner with friends, improvasylum, comedy show, dancing, etc..)
Does anyone have suggestions in the Boston, Providence, or surrounding areas?

I took classes there for a while and have been to many shows. With that in mind, if you decide to do dinner and then go see some improv, let them know in advance, even buy a group package if you have enough people, and they will bring your guy on stage and integrate him into their show.
If it sounds too expensive, they frequently have tickets on www.goldstar.com at half price, you can buy them, and still call them and let them know a large surprise party will be showing.

I threw one for mine 2 years ago. We had it at Clarke's in Faneuil Hall. They have a great back room that's huge and they're really flexible. My husband had mine at Croma on Newbury Street and that was a really nice place as well.
