POLL: Favorite Throw Back Dinner
Tonight I am making a "throw back" dinner that reminds me of lunch in the school cafeteria.
The poll question is:
What is your favorite throw back dinner?
Re: POLL: Favorite Throw Back Dinner
Does your dinner include tater tots????
I can't say that it's my favorite, but I remember my mother getting us pot pies and tater tots / or fish sticks and tater tots when they would go out for the evening and left us with a sitter.
HECK YEA! LOVE SOME TATER TOTS!
Def. Tater Tots. Haven't had them in forever but that would remind me of school so much.
Homey meal, everytime I make Spaghetti lasagna style. Reminds me of when my Mom and I used to make it when all of my brothers friends would come over and play basketball.
My mom's carne guisada con papa. (Stewed beef and potatoes) She makes it the Colombian way with Cabbage and yummy herbs and spices and then puts it in the pressure cooker.
She doesn't make it as good as she used to. She doesn't put that much effort into cooking anymore. Mmm... With rice. Yum!
Sorry, those are the kind of things I ate growing up:) If I were to choose something American I'd have to say good ol' Kraft Mac n Cheese!
I didn't go to a school with a cafeteria -- so "throw backs" for me are more of a favorite meal when I was a kid. I still eat all my "throw back" meals. (LOL!)
I pretty much grew up on noodles and butter . . . it is still one of my faves! (especially when I don't feel well)
My hispanic throw back is as easy as it gets. "arroz con juevo frito" (Rice with fried eggs-sunny side up)
:-)
That's one of my favorite's too! With a banana or a sweet fried plantain! MUSIC to my ears
haha! I knew it would be :-D
THIS BOARD SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
