buying chicken in the supermarket?
do any big supermarkets carry chicken that I can trust is non GMO, cage free, no antibiotics, etc? I know not to buy perdue or tyson. But my market has a lot of other names, some that are labeled with stuff that make them sound safe, but how do I know for sure? also just because chicken is at trader joes or whole foods, that doesn't guarantee its OK right?

Most Whole Foods have certified cage-free/cruelty free chickens, as do some of the other major grocery stores. You'll pay through the nose for it.
Your best bet, though, is to find a local farm through a co-op or farmers' market.
