book exchange / sale site
I feel like someone had posted a website to sell books or exchange books on. I have a handful of books that i'd like to get off my hands. Does anyone have any idea of what i am talking about? Or did i pull this one out of my arse? LOL
Re: book exchange / sale site
Nope, not out of your arse, lol.
www.paperbackswap.com is more for exchanging books (you post books and get "credits" if someone requests them). the only downside is, if there are specific books you want, you may have to wait a long time to get them in exchange.
my H has had good luck selling books, dvds, etc. as used on Amazon.com, and that way you can just get $ for the ones you want to get rid of
there is paperback swap- you can post your books and people request them...and you get credits to request books...
If you want something local- there is tea and tattered pages in glenmont- they give you 10% of the market cost of the books you bring in and you can use that to get new books...
ooo! Thanks! This seems cool, then i don't have to deal with shipping, etc. thanks!
oh wait! Just re-read. Do i have to buy new books from them?
There's a great used bookstore on the corner of Dove and Hudson streets in Albany. I know he buys used books, and he has a Huge selection of all kinds of genres there to buy too.
I think I got 4 books for $15? the prices vary, but I thought they were all very reasonable.
I've been to this store before and I don't believe they have new books. I think Abba was just saying you could use the money you get to go out and buy new books.
I too have sold and bought lots of books at the Book Barn- the owners are really nice, and give a fair price (I got more there than at Tea & Tattered.) I also like Dove and Hudson, but parking there can sometimes be difficult- too bad you don't still live downtown;-)
