The joys of switching from PC to Mac!
i got a new imac for Christmas and love it so far. However, due to the holiday craziness, I haven't set it up completely how I want it. I did manage to move all my old files over, but as I'm typing this, I'm thinking about all of my business related files (I work at home) and think that quickbooks may not work with it!
It has been a fun challenge to remember to close things on the left vs. right, and that file, edit, etc. are at the top, not on the window.
I can't wait until the transition is complete and I'm no longer using both computers!!!
Anyone else recently transition from pc to mac?
Re: The joys of switching from PC to Mac!
Welcome to team Mac!
I heard quickbooks was the biggest pain to transfer, but with the 2010 versions of each, the transfer is smooth I hear. Doesn't hurt to ask Quicken to upgrade your PC version for free if you purchase the 2010 version for the Mac.
"They say with time it gets better. Not true. With time you only get used to it."
Great to hear! I've been a PC girl all my life, but I'm looking to buy a MacBook Pro in the very near future...just waiting for the next MBP update! Hoping one is released in Jan or beg of Feb at the latest, because I don't know if I can hold out too much longer for my first Mac!
My parents just made the switch, as well. They went from life long PC owners to a new 27" iMac. They adore it and I love using it when I'm over at their house.
