That brings a whole new meaning to the word "chunk"!! Jeez . . . the paws on that poor thing are HUGE! And I thought my sister had a fat cat . . . man.

Confession....my cat, Yoda, is 29 pounds. He is a big guy, but he is really long and tall. He does have a bit of a belly, but he is also very muscular. We found his mother as a pregnant stray and she ended up having five kittens. At least two of them turned out very large - the other three went to homes that I don't know.

But that one featured in that article is huge.

That makes me so sad.  That cat probably has so many health issues.  My maine cooon was diagnosed with feline diabetes when he was at 22 lbs.  He is about 14 now.  He is a huge cat by nature, but hey, we got his diabetes under control with the weight loss.  THANK GOODNESS.  This poor kitty though, I bet he cant even walk with all that weight.  So sad that it got that big.

That makes me really sad. I wonder if it's due to some kind of health problem or rather due to being over fed.

I sent this pic to my DH and sis. They both couldn't believe it! It is really sad though . . . hopefully some vet will see the pic and want to help this owner out!

We have a cat who is about that big... last time he was at the vet, he weighed 40 pounds. We have tried feeding him "weight control" foods that the vet recommended, but if anything he looks like he gained some. We don't feed him alot, about a half a cup of food a day in the mornings but he is still a big guy. He is a very big cat anyways, huge head, big feet, is tall and long... he is part lynx but looks just like a big housecat. He is a really sweet and loveable boy. He is a fat and happy cat and even likes to play with the dog sometimes. It was funny that the vet assured DH back when the cat was only 20 pounds that he would not get any bigger. lol.
