My sports announcer vent for the evening
I'm watching the Liberty Bowl. Yes, I understand that the cold is affecting the game, as ECU and Arkansas players aren't accustomed to playing in below-freezing temps. But for some reason, the announcers' personal overdramatization of the cold ("I just might go jump in that hot oil to warm up." "It's bitterly cold out here.") is just really annoying me. The wind chill in Memphis is 22. The windchill here is 10 below zero. STFU about being cold, Mr. Announcer Man.

Re: My sports announcer vent for the evening
It's so true. During the Liberty Bowl, ECU had the ball at the end of regulation play and the score was tied. Time was winding down, and one of the announcers said that a sack of ECU's QB would potentially end the game. Um, no. The game was tied. A sack would've sent it to OT (which it went to anyway). Tie game + not scoring /=/ ending the game. Duh.
I enjoyed this gem from a Falcons game earlier this season:
"Matt Ryan has completed 4 of 8 passes. So he is 50% for the game."
