My sister posted this on her FB status message and I had a chuckle as I do/have done ALL these things (except for the 'holding an adults hand to cross the road...we're not at that stage yet lol).
To the mamas, how many of these things do you do/have done? To the mamas-to-be, this is what you have to look forward to lol.
"I would love
to be the perfect mother but I am too busy raising kids.
You know u are
a mum when you count mini m&ms to make sure your kids get even
amounts.
When u want to take out a contract on the kid who made your
kid cry.
When u hide in the toilet to try and be alone and even that
doesn't work.
When your kid throws up and you manage to catch it or aim it well, when someone elses kid throws up and you keep eating.
When it upsets you if your child clings to you when you leave him on
his first day at school/daycare but you also get upset if your child doesn't
cling to you.
When you use your own saliva to clean your kids face.
When you hug another adult and automatically start humming and pat/rub
their back to burp them.
You are crossing a road with another adult and
you automatically try and hold their hand to get them across safely.
When you are standing in line at a supermarket on your own and without
realizing it you start rocking yourself/push your trolley gently back
and forth to sooth your absent child and hum a wiggles song".
