Ladies trip to Orlando--advice please!

Hi ladies! I am a nestie from Indiana, but would love your advice!

My good friend and I are visiting Orlando for 4 days in February and would love some advice on activities. We are for sure planning to visit SeaWorld, and are looking for one or two other activities. We will have a rental car, and are staying at the JW Marriot. My friends husband would like to try to go to the Magic Kingdom during a break in his conference, as he has never been. We are sort of undecided, given how much the tickets are. We have also been told that Universal Studios is much more fun for adults.

If you can suggest any restaurants, cool shopping areas, or neighborhoods to visit, that would be great! Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have!

  • Some of the cool shopping areas to go to are the Prime Outlets and the Premium Outlets. There is also Mall of Millenium which is really pretty and has a couple of restaurants there like: Cheesecake Factory, Mimis Cafe and some other places in that general area. I-drive is a very popular tourist area for dining, mini golfing, along with some other random activities :) All of the theme parks are pretty fun... if you like roller coasters then you should definitely check out Islands of Adventure. Good luck and hope this helps! There is also Downtown Disney and City Walk...
  • If you want to do a Disney park... look into Epcot... good food and drink!  Just make sure that if you do decide to eat lunch/dinner at Epcot that you make a reservation (especially if you want to eat at one of the more popular countries)

Hope you have a great time!

I totally agree with this. Epcot is definitely my favorite park. All the parks have things for all ages, of course, but Epcot has the most to appeal to adults.

If you don't spring for a ticket to Epcot but you want to get a little taste of Disney, I'd recommend visiting Disney's Boardwalk. It's just a really nice, relaxing place to walk around and there are several good restaurants there. Downtown Disney is also fun, but much bigger and busier.

    Have fun!

  • Thank you so much ladies!! I am really excited by all the options to offered!! Maybe we will need to stay longer than 4 days Cool Thanks again!

  • I'm a little late to this, but thought I'd make a suggestion.  If you don't mind a drive, I would suggest checking out Blue Springs State Park. There are a ton of manatees there this season.  It's something uniquely Florida-y, and won't be too crowded with tourists.
  • If you are looking for a bit more local flare... check out Park Ave. in Winter Park, FL.  It's just north of Orlando.  Amazing restaurants and good shopping.

A little bit closer to Disney is Celebration.. nice little place to walk around and have dinner.  Most restuarants are on Front St. or Market St. I believe.
