Vets in the Upstate?

Hey all, It's been ages since I've been on this board...life went crazy in August/September and hasn't really changed a whole lot yet! I hope I can spend more time on this board...and maybe attend some meet ups again!

Anyway, question for those of you with dogs. We have two and have gone to the vet in Seneca that everyone seems to use...and we're very unimpressed by them. I'm willing to go to anyone between Seneca and Greenville (and maybe a little past) for a good vet. I work in Greenville so it's just as easy for me to take them somewhere around there and then have them hang out with me in the office.

Any suggestions? We had a great vet in Boston, and hoping to find that again. Thanks! :)

Re: Vets in the Upstate?

  • We take our 3 pups to Holly Tree Animal Hospital in Simpsonville. The office is on Hwy 14, not too far off I385, which makes drop off/pick up easy if you live/work anywhere in that area of Greenville.
We found them by accident last Christmas ('08) when our youngest pup got sick and our former vet was closed for the holiday. Dr Strum literally saved Kool's life by finding out early that he'd contracted Parvo-prior to us adopting him-and helping us get him to the Emergency Vet to get him healthy again. The other 2 vets, and the rest of the staff have always been friendly and accommodating any time we've brought the dogs in or called with questions.
The web address for Holly Tree Animal Hospital is:

    Hope this helps!! :-)

  • Not sure who you've tried in Seneca, but my sister took her cat to Dr. Ross at Fox Nest Animal Hospital (it's on 123 between Seneca and Clemson) and really liked him.  We go to Dr. Mosley at East Greenville Animal Hospital and have been very satisfied.  He's great and so is the rest of his staff.  The first time I needed a vet, I went to Brushy Creek Animal Hospital and it was awful, so I would avoid there!

  • We've been taking our dog to Cleveland Park Animal Hospital.  There is a location in downtown Greenville in Cleveland Park, and then there is a location in Simpsonville also.  We have gone to both and were happy at both.

  • We have a 3 year old Min Pin and have taken her since we first got her to Roper Mountain Animal Hospital on Roper Mountain Ext.  The whole staff is great and its usually very easy to get an appointment with them.  They also have cat and dog boarding and their prices are very reasonable.  Their telephone number is 297-9190.
