Nestie Boards
Hey everyone - hope you are all doing well. 
This post isn't really for anything in particular, and the main reason I am posting it here is because I have read several posts by you and none of you are like the ones I am posting about.
I have been lurking here lately on the community boards, and it has come to my attention that a LOT of the people on this site are downright mean and/or bitches. Do a lot of ya'll feel the same way or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places? Anywho, let me know what ya'll think.

Yeah, I try to stay away from a lot of the national boards because they can be way too snarky for no reason.
My "home" is a national board though..NBC. Everyone there is really nice and just plain awesome. I also post on Entertainment and What's Cooking sometimes but that's it.
I'll visit other boards to see if I can find another post with something I'm wanting to know but don't usually post unless I absolutely have to.

I do visit D&R....and WC! The gals on those boards are really nice (for the most part)!
I also lurke on MM....but rarely post.
There are certain national boards where there is alot of snark going on. But I stay clear of them other than lurk when I want some good entertainment. lol The only national board I post on is NBC, and like Crystal said, everybody over there is super nice.

I kinda board-jump. I go to Pets, Crafts, NBC, Green Living, D&R and C&D.
You should ALWAYS lurk first. But the ones I posted about are super nice. The only exception would be if you hit a touchy subject w/ Pets...such as backyard breeders, buy pets at pet stores, or giving your animal away b/c you're having a baby. But those girls know their stuff and can help you w/ just about anything.

I tend to stay away from most of the national boards for that reason. I haven't really found one that I read consistently.
Though I will say - I came over here from the Atlanta board, which I was on for a couple of years, and those girls could be real b!tches if they wanted to be. There was a definite clique there, and if you weren't part of it, then you had the potential to be the target of some pettiness.
I second Crystal's comment about NBC and Entertainment. Everybody's really nice there
But you definitely have to lurk no matter where you post to get a vibe of the board's culture.
A lot of boards simply aren't newbie friendly.
