Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Booo

It's 5 degrees at my Mom's and her power went out. I realize she's still a capable person, but I worry. I told her she's welcomed to come to my place if she wants. She's never been to my apt, so she'd probably be miserable. Also, that's a long way to drive for a warm place to stay that will take her dog.

  • That's weird.  I sure hope they repair it and/or she finds a safe place quickly.

  • Knowing her area, it'll be at least 24 hours. A squirrel getting too close to the transformer or whatever will cause a several-day-power-outage.

     

    She said she can hear her neighbor's generator running
