Hubs has a new job :)
Well, it's not technically a new job, more like a promotion. The restaurant he was working at for nearly four years just opened a new restaurant in South Miami and he was given a sous chef position there 
After a year in the works, MONTHS of preparation and trying to get their permits and everything in order, they are finally opening tomorrow! The restaurant is called Smoke't and it's an upscale barbeque place, right on US-1 in front of UM (where JJs used to be).
I went to a friends and family opening event on Saturday and the food was soooo good! I know I'm a little biased, lol, but South Miami was in dire need of a place like this - it's super laid back, flat screens everywhere, the bar is loaded and it's just a great place to go hang out. I am hoping it will be a huge hit.
I feel like such a proud wife, my hubby has worked SO hard and he really deserves this chance to shine. I pushed him to go to culinary school, have put up with his long hours working nights, and now it feels like even though he is going to be working more than ever, that all of his hard work (and my suffering) is paying off.
Sooooo if you're in the So. Miami area, definitely go check it out!

Thanks so so exciting, Eli! How awesome. I would be so proud of my DH too! My DH has a lot of friends at UM so we will have to go down there and meet up with them one night! I'll let you know when we do.

Oh and I know how it is to grow up in the restaurant business, my dad owned multiple franchises of Tony Romas my entire life and worked late every night and six days a week for his entire career. On the flip side though, he loved it and it was his passion. It's awesome that you are so supportive!
