As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Family Gossip
1. Older SIL is getting married in April. She asked younger SIL to be her maid of honor. SIL had a baby in September. She told older SIL no because she would be breastfeeding, she didn't know what her body would look like, she financially couldn't afford it, etc. Older SIL begged and younger SIL gave in and said okay. Older SIL apparently wants her to throw her a bridal shower for about 50 people a few days before the wedding (since older SIL lives out of state and won't be there till then). Younger SIL said no since she can't afford to host a party of that size and has no place to have it.
Also, older SIL is having a Saturday reception at a La Quinta. It's at dinner time. I am going to be 36-37 weeks pregnant. She is having heavy hors d'oeurves for food. There is water, coffee, and iced tea for drinks. That's it. And it's from 4-midnight. DH and I are going to show up for like 30 minutes and leave. Because we actually need to eat.
2. FIL officially has nothing. The house he was building? Being foreclosed on this month. He drained his retirement. Sold one of his cars and the other one is financed. His other house was sold in a short sale, and he had a cabin in the mountains that was sold or short saled, I'm not sure. He has no job. He lives with his ex-wife. His credit is in the crapper, I'm sure. Oh, and here's the best part. He lost his job a few months ago. He's holding out for a high paying management level job. Nevermind that there are plenty of jobs in the area that he could get that would pay decently, but he wants a 100K+ job.
He came over on Saturday for younger SIL's birthday. He gave DH a gun he had as a gift. SIL's husband joked that he shouldn't give them away because he'll need it shoot himself. It was mean but funny. Also, he said they went paintballing with FIL, and DH's two younger bros. Apparently FIL fell flat on his face, and BIL hid in a bush for a few minutes laughing hysterically. I like BIL. He's evil, like me.
