(synopsis...parents/stepparents arrested for tattooing all 6 of their kids w/ the same dirty needle. they don't 'get' the outrage.)

Because the kids 'wanted' them apparently.
(from elsewhere, the result was "small crosses on the hands of the six oldest kids ?aged 10, 11, 11, 12, 15, and 17" )
(please to note, I'm not really anti-tat. I'm not even necessarily 'zounds, wait until you're 18'. but...both parents have to agree (both BIOLOGICAL parents) and you do it 'right', I'm guessing this wasn't right. Besides sharing the needles I mean. It probably looks lke ***--don't cheap out on tats!)

I suppose I should be more shocked that these are the kinds of people who are procreating like wildfire, but I'm just not any more.

there's at least one kid to young to get the tat.
so, yeah, they've got a herd. But I get the impression that 1/2 or so are 'hers' and 1/2 or so are 'his' and maybe the youngest few are both of theirs.
