neighbor dog problem
neighbor dog likes to jump our fence. She humps our tree. We have put up a new higher fence but we caught her in our yard again. Our nieghbor's door bell doesn't work and he is rarely home. We left him a note asking that his dog not be let outside when we have gatherings for fear that his dog will hump our guests. He has not responded. Any advice?

If you feel comfortable I would call the police. They should get some sort of fine for it. After all, you did asked them nicely.Then maybe they'll think twice.
Otherwise I would let them know that you will be forced to call the authorities and see what that does first. I understand that you want a good relationship with your neighbor, but that's a bit ridiculous to have happen.

I would seriously make myself a pest and not stop tilll I talked to the neighbor face to face.
If he is really avoiding you, then maybe call the pound? Him having to make a trip down to the pound to get his dog out might make him realize how difficult him and his dog are being.
