you roll out dumplings? I'm much too lazy for that. I mix it and drop it by spoonfuls into the boiling broth. What does rolling them out do for it? Are they prettier?

Re: zsa

  • I do drop dumplings once in a while, but my mom and grandma made dough, rolled it out and cut it into rectangles, like thick pasta.  And yes, you can use a pastry wheel thing to make them prettier.  I use Bisquick for drop dumplings, but I think the rolled dumplings are just flour, water and maybe egg??  I haven't made them on my own in ages since I discovered the frozen ones.
