Have you ever found rocks in your beans?
I notice prep instructions for dried beans and peas always say to pick through your beans for small stones... I've never found a stone in my beans, but granted, I haven't cooked with dried beans all that much (I've decided to start trying to do it more).
Re: Have you ever found rocks in your beans?
Nope and we've been doing dried beans for maybe 2 years now. Fun question! I'll be curious to see what others say.

Yes, but it's rare. We cook with lentils a lot (I looove Dal, I could eat it every day), and have found a few stones in them. I don't recall finding any in dried beans, but we may have.
Ha, not until tonight!
I always skip the picking through process and just rinse them in a strainer. But this time I rinsed them in a colander and bit down on a teeny tiny one that should have gone through the colander when I rinsed them. I think I'll go back to the strainer!
I giggled when it happened though, because I'd seen this post earlier today. : )
