Good morning, ladies! I would very much like to crawl back into bed right now. I think my alarm was going off for a good 30 seconds before I even realized it. Getting back into the work-groove is happening at a glacial pace. I'm exhausted.
The gym wasn't as horrible as I expected last night. Yes, there were lines for the cardio equipment, but I've seen worse. This guy on the bike next to me tried to chat me up...I think he thought I was hot ;-) He was saying how the newbs should clear out in about 3 weeks, but the funny thing is I've never seen him there before last night.
Anyone else brave their gym last night?
Re: Rise and Shine!
Ha. You gotta love people who probably aren't "new" to the gym, but you happen never to have seen before. Hmmm... And I'm sure he thought you were hot!
I'll be braving yoga class tonight, I hope. Hopefully it's not too crazy crowded. I go to a small studio in Woodstown and sometimes it's pretty cozy.
Ah, the January rush at the gym. I remember this from last year. My gym membership has been frozen since August when DH broke his leg and I had to drive him everywhere, and I got a treadmill for Christmas, so I get to miss the all the resolution people clogging up the machines!
It definitely made me mad last year, since we were in "workout wedding mode" and standing in line for a cardio machine is not my cup of tea!

I shall rise, but I will not shine.
However I called my boss on Thursday to make a complaint about someone I work with who is slacking and causing me to have double the work load. He gave a lot of excuses and said how he hasn't noticed. Well this morning I had concrete proof and sent it all to him. He sent me back an email saying she would be spoken with about not doing what she's doing in the future.
VINDICATION!!!
similarly, i rose but ain't shinin. Hubs and i got sick on new years day and it has not gotten better. we are both super congested and feel like pooh. he actually had to stay home today after a night of tossing and turning and he sounds worse than me.
i hate being sick at work. esp when you have to blow your nose like 30 times a day. i am hoping to sneak out a bit early to get a nap, plus i know pl hate when you come to work sick, but i only have three weeks till i transition to my new role so i have to wrap a lot of things up.
otherwise i'm super glad we got the tree down and out this weekend and most of the house is back to normal.
