30th What shall I do??
My 30th bday is coming up on the 29th, and I need some suggestions on what to do. I'm normally a freak about my birthday's, and have it planned months in advance. However, this year I'm going on a 7 day cruise in honor of my bday, but I won't be leaving until 30 days later! So, I'm starting to think maybe I should plan something my actual bday weekend! I was thinking maybe I should just have some folks over the house for food and drinks, but then I also thought...it is my 30th...maybe I should so a little more! HELP! Last year I had 3 parts to my bday, and the theme was "When Twenty Met Nine" (yes I'm a freak I know...LOL).
Any ideas?? I always love doing girly things with my friends, but I don't have to do that...

I've heard of people calling it "dirty thirty," maybe your signature drink can be a dirty martini.
Or what about a tropical theme since you're going on a cruise?
You can do something about 2010 being a new decade and 30 being a new decade.

For DH's 30th, since people call it the dirty 30...I threw him a pirate themed party, because pirates are pretty dirty. People came dressed as pirates, I made a pirate ship cake...it was a lot of fun.
For my 30th, We hosted a Alice in Wonderland party. Again people came dressed in theme, which was cool to see because there were a lot of home made costumes. I bought a bunch of mis matched tea pots and cups at the goodwill and filled them with dry ice and fake white roses that had red paint dripping off them as a table scape. It went over rather well.
You can host a pimp and ho party...thats pretty dirty.
Or a white trash party!
I have friends that own a martini bar. I rented it out for my H's 30th. We had appetizers and drinks. You could do something similar. . . dinner and drinks with friends.
