What do you think of this duvet with this wall color? PIP

Hello-

I am just beginning the process of decorating our bedroom and I thought I would ask you ladies for some advice.  Our bedroom is Ben Moore, revere pewter.  I have posted a photo below.  What do you think of this duvet cover with the wall color?  http://www.potterybarn.com/products/bethany-duvet-cover-sham/?pkey=cpatterned-duvet-covers-shams

Ideally I'd like the linens in our room to be soothing and fresh and calming.  My husband doesn't want me to go with all blues and greens though (and I would if it were only up to me!) and would like a little warmth in the linens.  Thoughts? Impressions?  Thanks for the help!

Bedroom Wall Color

Re: What do you think of this duvet with this wall color? PIP

  • Yes

Very pretty! You can pull accent colors out of that duvet set in other parts of the room so it doesn't look too bland.

  • I love it!  I love the color too.... I think maybe I should re-paint my master bedroom that color.. ;)

  • I have lots of gray walls and if they are a true gray or a beige gray  (not a purplish or blue gray) pretty much everything goes with the wall.

  • I think those will look GREAT together.

Thanks ladies!  I really appreciate the help!  I get so nervous that I am going to make a mistake.  Probably because I have done a lot of returning things over the past year.
  • I think they would look fantastic together.  Lovely paint choice and lovely duvet to go with it!

  • I think it would go alright. I'd do something in blue or green like you, but I guess you gotta compromise with your DH :)

P.S: from that picture, that room looks GORGEOUS. I am so jealous.

  • I think it would be beautiful!

  • Love the color!  And I think the bedding will look great in the room!!  Make sure to post pictures when you are all done.
  • I like the combination of the wall color and duvet a lot. I would use tan/caramel colored sheets and dark wood furniture. That should bring in some more warmth to please your hubby while still keeping the soothing tone that you want. Good luck!
  • Gorgeous! And I just saved your wall color to my "decor ideas" folder. LOL. Very calm and soothing.

That is what I was thinking.  Dark wood furniture.  We don't have a headboard yet, but I am on the lookout. We have enough space in the box bay window for a reading nook too.  I am thinking an upostered chair and lamp/little table.  Thanks so much!

  • It matches perfectly!  I love it and with accents of coral and green....beautiful!
  • I think the duvet you chose would look great with this wall color! I love it! unfortunately, my DH hates anything remotely floral so I have been sticking to solid colors for bedding for our bedroom.

by the way, the molding in that room is GORGEOUS!! Those baseboards are HUGE and the crown...::::gasp::::

Please post more pics of your house!! :-)

Love the revere pewter wall color! Would you mind sharing what color used for the trim and ceiling?
